Nathaniel Greenleaf created Begonia 'Lamoon' in Thailand in 2020. It is a cross between Begonia acontifolia and Begonia U062.
Characteristics[edit]
Begonia 'Lamoon' is a Begonia plant that can reach a height of up to 90 cm and a width of approximately 70 cm when fully grown. Its characteristics include light pink stipules measuring around 17 × 7 mm, a maroon petiole that is about 3–3.5 cm long, and a palmate leaf blade with dimensions of approximately 24 × 13 cm. The leaf has a cordate base with slightly overlapping lobes, a serrated margin, and a pointed apex. On the upper leaf surface, you'll find colors ranging from pastel to bright pink, with prominent dark green main veins. Meanwhile, the lower leaf surface is characterized by a burgundy coloration.
Flower Details[edit]
The 4-tepaled male and female flowers are both light pink. Male flower often drops before fully opening. The few and sporadic flowers are produced on a 1.5 cm long cluster stalk.
