Classification and Distribution
Begonia exposita is an acaulescent herb native to Southwestern Thailand, specifically found in Kanchanaburi Province, Sangkhla Buri District.
Habitat
This begonia species thrives in exposed limestone rock crevices at an altitude of approximately 140 meters.

Begonia exposita is endemic to a unique habitat in Southwestern Thailand, particularly in the Kanchanaburi Province, Sangkhla Buri District.
Characteristics
Begonia exposita is a monoecious acaulescent herb with succulent leaves. Its leaves are ovate, 3–15 cm long, with a deeply cordate base, serrate margins, and prominent palmate venation. The species has tuberous roots.
Flower Details
The staminate flowers of this begonia have 4 tepals, which are white with a pale pink flush inside and darker pink on the reverse. The pistillate flowers have 2 (or 3) tepals of the same coloration. Stamens in the staminate flowers number 40–50 and are bright yellow. The androecium is actinomorphic, and the anthers dehisce by short slits near the tip.
Etymology
The specific epithet "exposita" refers to the exposed limestone habitat where this begonia species is found.
