silvery leaved begonia with prominent green veins; No. 548 - Begonia (B. 'White Imperialis' X B. masoniana) 'Canara' The distinctive foliage of this exotic- type rhizomatous begonia, with glistening silver, green-veined leaves, red backed, semi-round, 5 x 4 in., makes it an eye-catcher. Leaf margin is smooth, texture thick, nerves eight. Flowers on 3-4 inch stems just above plant are off-white, small and neat; blooms spring to summer. Registered August 25, 1976.
