B. tsimihety

Plant 2-3 short stems, short internodes, 1-3 cm long, oblique or erect, hairs of sparse, reddish hairs; rhizome 0.8-1.5 cm thick. Leaves petiole 3-10 cm long, with shaggy hairs, simple, brown, 2 mm long; blade equilateral, ovate, 5-7-palmatinerve and cord at base, attenuate and acute at top, with entire margins, 6-9 X 4-6 cm, deax sides herissate with small spiculiform, red, sparse hairs; ribs divided towards the edges, with reddish hairs very dense on the lower side; network of tertiary ribs anastomoses. Stipules lanceolate, very acute, scaly, 5-6 mm long. axillary, cypress-like, pauciflorous, with a common peduncle of 10-15 cm, glabrous; first branches 3-6 mm long; deciduous bractee; pedicel grele, 8-20 mm long, glabrous. MALE flowers has 4 tepals, the outer white pink has the base, elliptical, variable size, 8-26 X 5-22 mm, the internal smaller, oblong. Stamens 20-40, with threads coherent at the base, then free, 2 mm long; antheres 2 mm long, obtuse at the top. FEMALE flower has 5-6 tepals, sometimes 4, oblong, smaller than those of MALE flowers; styles 3, bifid; stigma in lyre, with papillose, spiral branches.
