B. ‘Ruby Jewel’
A sensationally unique and lovely new Begonia with double red flowers of Geneva Scarlet Beauty. A good proportion of the leaves are snow-white or splotched white, similar to the old Calla Begonia. The white in the leaf of RUBY JEWEL CALLA is clearer. Makes a fine, dwarf compact 3 to 5 inch pot plant and does well in the house. We suggest you do not allow more than one third of the leaf area to become white. The lower leaves may be removed if they are white. Leave some of the large tips white as they bloom from the white portion. White leaves do not make any food for the plant and they rob the green growth of the food it makes. A plant every begonia lover should own.
