B. 'Piebald'

This rhizomatous cultivar first bloomed in 2022 by planned hybridization in 2020. It’s ca. 14 cm tall and ca. 23 cm wide when mature. The stipules are ca. 12 × 7 mm and yellowish-green. The petiole is ca. 13 cm long with dense long white hairs. The broadly ovate or suborbicular leaf blade is ca. 10–14 × 8–12 cm with a cordate base, a subentire or repand and ciliate margin, and an acuminate apex. The upper leaf surface is yellowish- (immature) to dark olive green with white markings and maroon hairs. The lower leaf surface is greyish-green with dense white hairs. The light pink 4-tepaled male and 3-tepaled female are few on a ca. 16 cm long maroon peduncle from winter to early spring.
