B. ‘Dragon Scales’

This iridescent foliage cane-like cultivar for terrarium was developed in 2024 by artificial hybridization. It's ca. 20 cm tall and ca. 14 cm wide when mature. The pinkish-white stipules are ca. 17 × 4 mm and the maroon petiole is ca. 4 cm long with sparse hairs. The oval and corrugated leaf blade is ca. 16 × 9 cm with a cordate base, a serrate margin, and an acuminate apex. The upper leaf surface is reddish-brown (maroon when young) with silver spots, blotches, and sparse short hairs. The lower leaf surface is light reddish-brown with short hairs.
The leaf color can be iridescent under low light in-tensity. The white (2) 4-tepaled male flowers and 5-tepaled female flowers with light pink ovaries are few on a ca. 2.5 cm long maroon peduncle.
