B. ‘Mo Xiang’

Hybridized by Fang Li, Yan-Man Chen, and Hao-Yang Chen from Dongguan Botanical Garden, Guangdong China. Applied for on November 20, 2024 and approved on March 21, 2025.

This cultivar was developed in 2020 by line breeding and first bloomed in 2021. It's ca. 10-15 cm tall and ca. 20-28 cm wide at maturity. The greenish-maroon stipules are ca. 6 × 5 mm and the greenish-maroon petiole is ca. 12 cm long with hairs. The broadly ovate leaf blade is ca. 20-24

× 14-18 cm with a cordate, a crenate margin, and a sharply obtuse apex. The upper leaf surface is greenish-silver with a large dark green palmate center and an olive-green margin. The lower leaf surface is pale green with dense hairs. The light pink 4-tepaled male flowers and 3-tepaled female flowers are few on a ca. 10-13 cm long reddish-green peduncle in fall. Mo and Xiang in Chinese mean inked and fragrant, respectively.
