B. ‘Hei Shuang’

This compact cultivar was developed in 2022 and first bloomed in 2023. It's up to ca. 80 cm tall and ca. 40 cm wide when mature. The light green stipules are ca. 12 × 6 mm and the maroon petiole is ca. 5 cm long. The palmate and glabrous leaf blade is ca. 12 x 10 cm with a truncate to cordate base that sometimes has slightly overlapped lobes, a deeply palmate and undulate margin, and an acuminate apex. The upper leaf surface is dark green with a very narrow white band, and dense white spots and blotches between the main veins. The lower leaf surface is maroon.
The pinkish-white flowers are abundant on a ca. 5.5 cm long maroon peduncle in fall. Hei and Shuang in Chinese mean black and frost, respectively.
