B. xanthina 'Margaritifera'

It certainly surpasses the previous hybrid [Reichenheimii / xanthina argyrea] in beauty, although it itself does not seem to grow as large, but is unfortunately very rare. The leaf shape again resembles that of B. rubrovenia and is therefore also more ovate-oblong. Likewise, the auricles are only very slightly pronounced. Finally, more distinct stems develop. The surface shows a magnificent dark green with a velvety appearance, which is interrupted in the middle between two veins by the silvery-gray, uneven stripes at the edges. These, however, have the appearance as if they were composed not of larger spots, but of drops, some of which are not even connected, and show, especially in newer leaves, a reddish sheen. In its juvenile state, the leaf surfaces are far more felted than in any of the more accurate species and hybrids, and the truly charming leaf surface shows a crinkled and pink-edged margin
