B. 'Miranda'

Was pollinated with hatacoa var. hatacoa and (hatacoa x xanthina) simultaneously. A.D. Candolle theorized (hatacoa x xanthina) pollen was the one which lead to this hybrid.

The shape of the leaves resembles that of the previous hybrid [Fürst Trubetzskoi], except that the band is not at all lobed, but rather notched. A distinct ring in the middle of the leaflets is not at all discernible, as a magnificent green color is present only around the insertion of the leaf apex and on both sides of the veins and their main branches, but only narrowly there, while otherwise, with the exception of the red-edged margin, the silvery-gray markings are again present in such a way as if they were composed of larger drops, and occupy the greatest part of the surface. In its juvenile state, the markings have a somewhat greenish tinge, but nevertheless stand out against the rest of the blackish-green. In older leaves, both colors become duller. On the underside, the silvery-gray markings are obscured by a light, almost poplar-green coloration, which, however, is underscored by a brownish-red veining.
