B. 'Hildegarde'
As for the drawing, this Begonia bears a certain resemblance to No. 1 (B. 'Dominica'). However, the coloration here is purer and possesses a greater pearly luster. The leaf shape is also narrower and more pointed. Liebig presented 18 hybrids with B. rex as the mother at the Spring 1860 meeting of The Society for Promotion of Horticulture in Berlin.
