B. 'Gabriele'

The leaves are myrtle-green, featuring a glossy, satiny-white pattern that forms a star in the center. The leaf stalks appear completely covered in beautiful red, chaff-like hairs. This begonia is further distinguished by its very vivid coloration. Liebig presented 18 hybrids with B. rex as the mother at the Spring 1860 meeting of The Society for Promotion of Horticulture in Berlin. Male parent cited as B. splendida, which is a synonym of B. robusta.
