B. 'Ernesta'
A smaller-growing variety with leaves no more than 4–5 inches in diameter. The latter are pure white and have an aurora-like sheen. Liebig presented 18 hybrids with B. rex as the mother at the Spring 1860 meeting of The Society for Promotion of Horticulture in Berlin.
