B. 'Dominica'
The leaf features green rays radiating in a star-like pattern from the base, with red main veins and a brilliant silvery pattern that covers almost the entire leaf surface. The leaf shape is elegant, and the smooth margin is interrupted by two pointed projections extending from the larger curve. Liebig presented 18 hybrids with B. rex as the mother at the Spring 1860 meeting of The Society for Promotion of Horticulture in Berlin.
