B. 'Hotspot'
This is like the unruly monster version of Michael Kartuz's Begonia 'Vivaldi'. While it shares the same coloring as 'Vivaldi' and they look alike as children, that is were the similarity ends. Begonia 'Hotspot' does not stay small, the leaves grow to a medium size and probably will get even larger in the best growing conditions. The leaves have a slightly lobed and dentated edge and are a bright shade of green with hot red spots from which it get its name. Profuse bloomer in spring with a shower of pink flowers. If it has one bad trait, it's that you have to work a little to keep it in bounds. Easy and grows quickly. Another great plant for begonia enthusiasts, especially for new growers that want a fancy begonia that they can easily grow. New introduction for 2017. (Thompson)
