B. 'Black Magician'
This upright to semi-creeping rhizomatous cultivar first bloomed in 2022 from an artificial cross made in 2020. It is up to ca. 30-35 cm tall and ca. 40-50 cm wide when mature. The deep maroon stipules are ca. 14-16 x 9-12 mm and the maroon petiole is ca. 14-17 cm long, with silver hairs. The broadly ovate leaf blade is ca. 14-19 x 10-16 cm with a cordate base that has over-lapped lobes, a denticulate and ciliate margin, and an acuminate apex. The upper leaf surface is olive -to sage-green with large areas of dark olive-green patterning between main veins and the lower leaf surface is reddish-caramel with deep scarlet patterning between main veins. The 4-tepaled light pink male and female flowers are abundantly produced on a 17-19 cm long and light to mid maroon peduncle all year round
