B. ‘Kiritsubo’
This cultivar is sometimes found in Japan under the name of B. ‘Kirigo’. I had only seen it at Kimura Horticulture, until I received a young plant sent by Begonia Club.
However, for the moment, I have not yet managed to find information on its origins.
It is part of what the Japanese call Yabutake type (矢 竹 型) which corresponds to our Bamboo Begonias in France or Cane-type in English.
Erect bush with bambusiform stems, narrow foliage, pointed, bright green, numerous clusters of light pink flowers with salmon reflections.
- Classification: Cultivar
- Plant Type: Cane-like
