B. ‘Crested’
Begonia ‘Crested’ is a rhizomatous type Begoniawith short internodes, plant height is (28.50-34.00) cmtall. Leaves are simple and peltate with ovate shape withundulate base, size (14-15x16-20) cm. Leaves margin iscrenate and apex is acuminate. The upper surface colouris yellow green group: (YG 144 A) strong yellow green,colour of veins on upper side is (YG 144 D) light yellowgreen. Inflorescence peduncle with 20 cm long branchedsymmetrically.Based on examination of 37 morphological characters,there are 8 different character of the new variety asshown in the Table 1. Begonia ‘Crested’ has a newcharacter that is different from its parents: leaf bladeshape ovate, base wavy, and leaf blade concavity ovate.Nevertheless, B.‘Crested’ has five common characterswith its female parent: peltate leaves, undulate leavesbase, serrate leaves margin, triangular stipules, andmoderately covered by hairs on the upper side of theleave blades. white peduncle or pedicels, is a commoncharacter shared with its male parent.
