B. tabonensis
Monoecious rhizomatous herb. Begonia tabonensis resembles B. mindorensis Merr. in the widely ovate, uniformly green leaves and inflorescence with sessile glands, differing in having shorter petioles (to 10 cm vs. 25 cm long); leaves 4−8 × 4±6.4 cm (vs. 10−15 × 6±10 cm); bracts deciduous (vs. persistent), chartaceous (vs. coriaceous), glabrous or very sparsely glandular (vs. densely glandular); ovary wing crescent-shaped, sometimes slightly pointed at summit (vs. triangular, acute at summit).
