B. ‘Prince de Liege’

Created in 1934 by Leod, gardener of the Botanical Garden of Liege, from the cross between B. forgeliana x B. corallina.
Plant with erect, unbranched stems with elongate, medium green leaves, slightly reddened underside. Large clusters of flesh-pink flowers produced throughout the year.
This cultivar has absolutely no « apricot pink » flowers as some unscrupulous horticulturists may suggest.
The plant branched little, and it is preferable, to have branched plants and abundant flowering to pinch the young plants above the fourth leaf, then again to 4 leaves.
